“The classic conical candle was the first candle in our production, and although it was more than 30 years ago, it still remains our best-selling candle. The beautiful pointed tip of the candle has always made it unique - a distinctive feature that gives it an elegant, subtle look that distinguishes it as an ethereal candle.

The candle is made of 100% pure paraffin and odorless wax from a leading European manufacturer. Candles are made in a factory in Denmark, and the wick is made of 100% cotton. The foot of the candle has a conical shape, which means that the candle is suitable for most candlesticks. The candle is self-extinguishing, so the flame goes out at a distance of 2-3 centimeters from the bottom (however, we recommend never leaving lighted candles unattended)

In 1987, Esther and Eric Meller, husband and wife, launched the production of hand candles. Their vision was to pay tribute to the proud Danish tradition of candle making by creating elegant, high-quality candles for an exclusive and demanding customer segment. Since then, Ester & Erik have improved traditional methods and developed a unique concept. Ester & Erik candles can be used to create a relaxing, friendly atmosphere, turning any occasion into something special. As the Danes would say - Hygge. Candles are presented in frames and in a gift box, and candles can be purchased individually.

All ester & erik candles are manufactured at the plant in Silkeborg, Denmark.

Here, the entire production line is built around the fact that two factors are key to the production of quality candles: the quality of raw materials and the final appearance of the candles.

Our candles are natural products made from wax, wick and dye of the highest quality - which we have been using since the company was founded in 1987. Candles are made of 100% paraffin and wax of the highest quality, which can be heated and used without the addition of any artificial ingredients. The wick is made of 100% pure cotton, and dyes and varnishes are water-based and therefore do not contain acetone or aniline.

To get the exact shape, a candle with an untreated cone is immersed 24-25 times in warm paraffin, depending on the season and ambient temperature. This process takes 4-5 hours. After cooling for 2 hours, the candle is painted and possibly varnished, and then dried again before curing for 24 hours, after which it is packaged and sent to our customers. All our candles are carefully packed in FSC certified packaging. Either directly on our iconic candle frames, or in boxes where the candles are wrapped in paper with extra foam protection between the lacquered candles to prevent scratches.

All candles undergo quality testing at every stage of the manufacturing process to ensure that the frame, wax, color, varnish and packaging meet our high quality requirements to ensure the perfect end product.

This is the only way to be the best at what we do.

Candles are painted by hand

To achieve the best appearance when painting a frame containing up to 66 candles, the factory continues the tradition of dipping candles by hand in colored wax.

"By painting by hand, you get a special feel to the product throughout the process: when untreated frames enter the paint section, we check that the raw candles are free of dirt and have a perfectly smooth surface before they dive again. Some colors bond more easily. with wax, which means that some candles need to be removed from the color bath faster than others, but only with your hands you can always achieve the same high quality. the color palette acquires a surface contrast that creates a bright look, unique to our products.
